Most are 99.9% Purebred Homo Polled and most are red. A strong, uniform set of open yearling heifers built for real‑world ranch performance—sound, feminine, and maternally driven. These KHR & JMR females offer balanced genetics, quiet dispositions, and the kind of longevity and productivity that anchor profitable cow herds.
DOM & DOD description
The title "Dam of Merit" DOM recognizes cows that meet strict selection criteria including early puberty and conception, regular calving intervals, and above-average weaning weights on at least three calves. Of the 31844 active cows in the Gelbvieh breed, only 5.6 percent qualify for Dam of Merit. The "Dam of Distinction" DOD honor recognizes cows that meet the same high standards for superior, long-term productivity with at least eight calves. Just 1.1 percent of all active Gelbvieh cows qualify for this elite group.
Consistently about thirty‑five percent of our herd has earned Dam of Merit or Dam of Distinction honors, reflecting proven maternal strength and longevity.
